Bajaj Auto has launched the updated 2025 Pulsar NS400Z, now priced at INR 1,92,328 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This marks a significant step forward for what is already the most powerful Pulsar ever built. Just a year into its debut, the NS400Z has crossed 20,000 unit sales across India, and the latest iteration introduces meaningful upgrades based on rider feedback.
Enhanced Performance and Dynamics
At the heart of the 2025 NS400Z is a refined 373cc engine that now delivers 42.9 bhp, up from 39.5 bhp. Bajaj has revised the valve train, cam timings, and intake duct to extract this extra power. Supporting the performance boost is a forged piston that improves thermal stability, durability, and friction management.
The acceleration figures have also seen notable improvements:
- 0–60 km/h in 2.7 seconds (previously 3.2 seconds)
- 0–100 km/h in 6.4 seconds (previously 7.5 seconds)
- Top speed increased to 157 km/h (from 150 km/h)
Despite the bump in performance, Bajaj claims that fuel efficiency remains uncompromised.
Segment-First Quickshifter
A major highlight of the 2025 update is the introduction of a clutch-less, full-throttle gear-shifting system, co-developed with Bosch. This quickshifter, which doesn’t rely on traditional sensors, works exclusively in Sports Mode, and is tailored for high-performance riding—a first in the segment.
Hardware and Feature Upgrades
- New radial tyres front and rear, including a wider 150-section rear for improved grip and feedback
- Sintered brake pads up front for enhanced stopping power
- Redesigned radiator cowl that directs heat away from the rider’s legs
- Signature 43 mm USD front forks in Champagne Gold, and LED projector headlamp
The NS400Z continues to offer a rich feature list, including a fully digital LCD console with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, a lap timer, and traction control. Riders can toggle between four ride modes – Rain, Road, Off-road, and Sport – to adapt to different riding conditions.
