The company is interacting with a few other EV start-ups in and around Hyderabad to help launch their businesses and be a catalyst in the development drive of the Telangana Government in the sustainable development of fossil-free transport solutions.

The journey of the EV park began in 2014 with the setting up of MG Composites LLP for FRP and advanced composites components for the automotive, non-automotive and defence sectors for both domestic and export markets.

Under this, the company is manufacturing containers for transportation of explosives, negotiating underwater mines and naval ship antennas and radomes for the Defense Sector for domestic and export requirements.

Later in 2016 MG Grey Engine LLP was established for manufacturing bus electrical and electronic components, adjoining the MG Automotives bus building facility in Zaheerabad.

Until March 2020, it has delivered more than 80,000 buses and other special application vehicles to customers from this plant, the company said.

According to the company, the three manufacturing units together, including the EV Park will generate direct employment for more than 1,500 people, most of them from Zaheerabad and its surrounding areas.

Furthermore, women's empowerment will also be encouraged. Over 90% of the workforce is women at the MG Grey Engine LLP, the company said.
