Amber Connect has announced its plans to open a 4000-seat innovation centre in Coimbatore. The facility, slated to open by the end of 2025, will serve as a hub for developing advanced vehicle telematics software for global markets. The move highlights Amber Connect’s strategic focus on India as a key growth market for its operations and a stepping stone towards its IPO ambitions.
Amber Connect currently operates a Coimbatore office with 1,200 skilled professionals across product development, software engineering, logistics, data science, and AI. Over the next two years, the company plans to onboard an additional 1,000 employees across technology, sales, and customer support roles. This expansion aligns with Amber Connect’s goal to deploy its telematics solutions on over 200,000 vehicles in India within two years, contributing to a projected INR 100 crore revenue in India and INR 500 crore globally.
Dushyant Savadia, Founder and CEO, Amber Group, mentioned “India’s rising digitisation and demand for premium technology solutions make it an ideal market for Amber Connect. Coimbatore, with its rich engineering talent, perfectly fits our vision to build a smarter, safer, and more connected future.”

Amber Connect plans to establish partnerships with automotive OEMs and distributors across 28 states to offer its AI-powered telematics solutions, including vehicle tracking, fleet management, and enhanced security features. With a focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the company aims to capitalise on the growing adoption of EVs and intelligent vehicle solutions in these markets.
Globally, Amber Connect has established a strong presence in Africa, the Caribbean, East Asia, West Asia, and North America. Leveraging this expertise, the company aims to replicate its success in India, where it views a robust market presence as critical to its IPO aspirations.
