Ather Energy has introduced a new variant of its 450S electric scooter featuring a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack and an extended IDC range of 161 kilometres. Priced at INR 1,45,999 ex-showroom Bengaluru, the updated 450S offers a more accessible option for riders who want the extended range of the 450X without its premium pricing or added software features.
This new variant sits between the base 450S 2.9 kWh and the top-spec 450X 3.7 kWh, making the brand’s long-range capabilities more attainable. The scooter continues to use the same 5.4 kW motor producing 22 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 90 kmph. Despite the battery upgrade, it retains Ather’s sporty ride character and four riding modes, allowing users to toggle between efficiency and performance as needed.
Visually the 450S 3.7 kWh remains unchanged with its sharp LED lighting, compact proportions and premium finish. The scooter includes Ather’s 7-inch DeepView display with Bluetooth and navigation, and is compatible with features like AutoHold, Fall Safe, and Emergency Stop Signal through AtherStack Pro. The variant supports OTA updates and integrates with Ather Grid, the brand’s nationwide fast-charging network.
Charging takes 4.5 hours for 0 to 80 percent via Ather’s home charger, while compatibility with public chargers ensures longer journeys can be planned confidently. Bookings are now open across all Ather outlets and digital channels, with deliveries beginning in August 2025.
