Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has appointed Anjani Kumar as its Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO). With over 24 years of cross-industry experience in digital transformation and IT innovation, Kumar will spearhead Ather’s digital strategy and strengthen its technology infrastructure across product development, manufacturing, and customer experience.

His appointment comes as Ather scales up operations and seeks to unify its digital framework to support growth in products, business models, and software integration.

Welcoming Kumar, Swapnil Jain, Executive Director and CTO, said, “Anjani’s deep experience will be crucial in simplifying and scaling our digital infrastructure, helping us build a stronger tech-led advantage.”

Kumar, an alumnus of NIT Rourkela and Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, has held leadership roles at IBM, Nissan, Cognizant, and Tata AIG. He brings a wealth of strategic and operational expertise to Ather’s fast-evolving digital journey.
