Ather Grid Joins Magenta ChargeGrid To Expand Public Charging Network

In a bid to collectively accelerate the pace of expansion of public charging networks, Ather Grid has announced the signing of an MoU with Magenta ChargeGrid to install chargers for electric two-wheelers across the country.

Under the partnership, Ather will be given access to Magenta’s ChargeGrid across multiple locations, including cities, towns and highways, Pan India, a press release from Ather Grid said.

Nilay Chandra, VP, Charging Infrastructure and Marketing, Ather, said, “The charging infrastructure category is fast evolving, and we understand that collaboration with other charge point operators at this stage will help the industry grow at an exponential scale.”

Maxson Lewis, Founder and Managing Director, Magenta, said, “This partnership approach will not just help Ather and other OEM players to rapidly scale their network but also help them to optimise the investment required.”

Earlier the e2W startup partnered with charging operators like Zeon Charging and retail partners like Decathlon, Cafe Coffee Day, and Blue Tokai, among 15 other brands, to alleviate range anxiety and increase EV adoption in the country.

Further it has also claimed to install around 330 fast-charging Ather Grid Points across 35 cities in the country.
