Ather Energy has announced that its family-focused electric scooter, the Rizta, has crossed the 1 lakh unit retail milestone less than a year since its launch. Introduced in April 2024 and made available nationwide by June, the Rizta has quickly emerged as a popular choice among family scooter buyers, significantly expanding Ather’s market footprint across the country.

Built from the ground up to address the needs of Indian families, the Rizta features a spacious seat, 56-litre under-seat storage, a wide floorboard, and several connected safety technologies. SkidControl, Ather’s proprietary traction control system, improves rider stability on slippery surfaces. Additional safety features include Tow & Theft Alerts, an Emergency Stop System with rapid tail-light flashing, and Live Location Sharing via AtherStack 6. The scooter also features built-in Google Maps on the dashboard for seamless navigation.

Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said, “Hitting the 1 lakh milestone with the Rizta is a big moment for us. It has helped us connect with a wider set of customers and expanded our presence in states where we previously had limited reach.”
