Audi has unveiled the new plug-in hybrid versions of its Q5 SUV and Sportback models, reinforcing its push toward electrification in the premium mid-size segment. Offered in two power levels—220kW and 270kW—the Q5 e-hybrid range combines a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine with a more capable electric motor and a significantly larger 25.9kWh high-voltage battery (net 20.7kWh), delivering an all-electric range of up to 100 km.
The 270kW variants can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds, while the 220kW versions achieve the same in 6.2 seconds. Charging time has also improved, with the new models supporting up to 11kW AC charging, bringing the battery from empty to full in just 2.5 hours.
Audi has integrated a refined hybrid management system that allows for fully electric (EV) or hybrid driving modes, now enhanced by intelligent route-based energy recuperation. Regenerative braking can be adjusted via steering paddles, adding flexibility to the drive experience.

Both SUV and Sportback e-hybrid models come with upgraded standard equipment. Highlights include a fully adjustable rear seat bench, S sport suspension, the latest MMI experience plus infotainment system, and new design features such as 19-inch alloy wheels and red-painted brake calipers.

Manufactured in Mexico, the new Q5 e-hybrid models are now available to order in Europe, with prices in Germany starting at EUR 63,400 for the SUV and EUR 65,900 for the Sportback. Deliveries are slated to begin in Q3 2025.
