The transaction, first announced on October 17, 2024, received approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on April 22, 2025. The final equity value remains subject to adjustments for net working capital as of June 30, 2025.

Bharat Forge Limited (BFL) has successfully completed the acquisition of AAM India Manufacturing Private Limited (AAM India) for an equity value of INR 7,464.6 million, marking a key milestone in its strategy to expand its global footprint and enhance its position in the automotive component space.

The acquisition includes INR 1,894.8 million in cash reserves held by AAM India, which BFL intends to leverage for future growth initiatives.

AAM India, a reputed name in the automotive product manufacturing sector, supplies a wide range of components to major OEMs, including players in both traditional and emerging mobility segments. With this acquisition, BFL aims to augment its current portfolio with more integrated product solutions, reinforcing its value proposition to OEMs in India and across global markets.

BFL stated that the acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy to offer differentiated and scalable solutions across vehicle platforms and geographies, while positioning itself as a key enabler of the evolving mobility landscape.
