Blue Energy Motors has delivered its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered heavy-duty trucks to Inland World Logistics. This marks the logistics major’s entry into sustainable transportation.
The handover, held at Blue Energy Motors’ Chakan plant in Pune, underscores the growing momentum around alternative fuel adoption in heavy trucking. Designed to deliver zero compromise on power or payload, the LNG trucks offer up to 30% lower CO₂ emissions and significantly reduced operating costs, making them an attractive solution for fleet operators aiming to align with ESG goals without sacrificing efficiency.
This delivery follows the deployment of over 800 Blue Energy LNG trucks across India, which have collectively logged over 50 million kms and cut CO₂ emissions by 14,000 tonne—equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of over 560,000 trees.
Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO, Blue Energy Motors, said, “Our LNG trucks offer a credible alternative to diesel, combining reduced emissions with lower total cost of ownership. This delivery is a testament to our mission of enabling cleaner mobility—fleet by fleet, region by region.”
For Inland World Logistics, the move signals a strategic shift toward greener operations. “We believe the future of logistics lies in green mobility,” said Praveen Somani, Managing Director, Inland World Logistics. “Blue Energy Motors stood out for its innovative product and strong commitment to sustainability. These trucks are a perfect fit for our long-haul operations, combining environmental responsibility with performance and reliability.”
