BMW Motorrad has teased the updated CE 04 electric scooter, confirming its imminent debut on 3 July. Positioned as a premium urban mobility solution, the CE 04 is already on sale globally, including in India, and is one of the most distinctive two-wheelers in the segment.
The teaser suggests a new paint scheme, while it remains to be seen if BMW will revise the scooter’s styling or design elements. More importantly, the CE 04 may receive minor upgrades to its battery and motor to improve efficiency and possibly extend its 130km claimed range.
Currently, the CE 04 uses a 31kW (41bhp), 61Nm electric motor that can sprint from 0-50kmph in just 2.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 120kmph. It features a comprehensive electronics package including ride modes, traction control, and a 10.25-inch TFT display.
The scooter’s 8.5kWh battery takes just over four hours for a full charge, which can be reduced to 1 hour 40 minutes using an optional fast charger.
