BMW launches 3 Series and M340i ‘50 Jahre’ Editions in India, Limited to 50 Units Each

BMW India has launched exclusive ‘50 Jahre’ Editions of the 330Li M Sport and M340i to mark the 50th anniversary of the 3 Series. Priced at INR 64 lakh and INR 76.90 lakh respectively, each edition is limited to just 50 units.

BMW India has rolled out special ‘50 Jahre’ Editions of the 3 Series Long Wheelbase (330Li M Sport) and the M340i to celebrate 50 years of the 3 Series globally. Both models are locally produced at the BMW Group Plant Chennai and will be limited to just 50 units each, retailed exclusively through BMW India’s official website.

The BMW 330Li M Sport ‘50 Jahre’ Edition is priced at INR 64 lakh (ex-showroom) and features aesthetic enhancements such as the Shadowline package, blacked-out grille, window surrounds, diffuser, and tailpipes. A distinctive ‘1/50’ laser-engraved badge on the B-pillar underscores its exclusivity. The cabin is equipped with carbon fibre trims, curved display screens, heads-up display with augmented view, and comfort seats with extendable thigh support. Powering the sedan is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 255 bhp and 400 Nm, enabling it to sprint from 0–100 kmph in 6.2 seconds. Customers can choose from Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, and M Carbon Black exterior shades.

The BMW M340i ‘50 Jahre’ Edition, priced at INR 76.90 lakh (ex-showroom), remains the fastest locally built BMW, achieving 0–100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds. It is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 369 bhp and 500 Nm, mated to an all-wheel drive system and M Sport differential. Visual updates include ‘50 Jahre’ insignia, gloss black M badging, Jet Black 19-inch alloys, red M Sport brake calipers, and bespoke hubcaps. Inside, it features Vernasca leather upholstery with M highlights, sport seats, carbon fibre trim, and BMW’s signature curved display. Buyers will also receive a 1:18 scale model of the BMW 3.0 CSL as part of the commemorative offering.

With these two exclusive editions, BMW India aims to bring a blend of heritage, performance, and exclusivity to enthusiasts marking the golden jubilee of the legendary 3 Series.
