BMW Launches The New 3 Series Long Wheelbase In India

Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the new 330Li M Sport petrol variant is now available across BMW dealerships, with a diesel variant set to launch later.

BMW India has launched the new BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB), offering a blend of added luxury and performance. Priced at INR 62,60,000 (ex-showroom), the latest model introduces enhanced comfort with BMW’s B48 petrol engine delivering 255 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.

The BMW 3 Series LWB is the longest car in its class, measuring 4,819 mm in length with a 2,961 mm wheelbase, making it the most spacious in the segment. The exterior features the signature BMW kidney grille and twin circular headlights, with Adaptive LED Headlights and projector lamps offered as standard. The Aluminium Satinated exterior elements add to its luxurious appeal, while a high-gloss black rear diffuser enhances its sporty presence. The model is available in four metallic paint options: Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, M Carbon Black, and Arctic Race Blue, with Leather Vernasca Cognac upholstery as standard.

The cabin offers electrically adjustable comfort seats with extendable thigh support, a flat-bottomed M leather steering wheel, and a BMW Widescreen Curved Display modernise the driving experience. A large panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting with six dimmable designs, and newly designed air vents further elevate interior comfort. The three-zone automatic climate control system with active carbon filters ensures superior air quality.

The 2.0-litre, four-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine generates 255 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.2 seconds. The eight-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission provides smooth gear shifts, enhanced further by steering-mounted paddle shifters and cruise control with braking function. With Launch Control, drivers can experience maximum acceleration with optimised traction from a standstill.

The BMW iDrive Operating System 8.5 integrates multiple interaction options, including touch, gesture, and voice control. The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant adapts to the driver’s habits, offers proactive driving tips, and supports seamless smartphone connectivity. The car receives remote software updates to keep features up to date.

A standout feature is the BMW Digital Key Plus, which automatically unlocks the doors and initiates a welcome lighting sequence as the driver approaches. The Comfort Access System allows keyless entry and ignition, while remote locking/unlocking via a smartphone adds further convenience.

For parking assistance, the car features Park Assistant Plus with a Surround View Camera, helping drivers park in tight spots with automated acceleration, braking, and steering. A remote 3D view of the car can be accessed via the My BMW App. The BMW Driving Assistant includes Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Warning, and Front and Rear Collision Warning, enhancing safety.

The BMW 330Li M Sport is priced at INR 62,60,000 (ex-showroom, India). Customers can opt for BMW Service Inclusive and Service Inclusive Plus packages, which cover Condition Based Service (CBS) and maintenance work for a duration of three years/40,000 km, with extensions available for up to ten years/200,000 km.
