BMW Group India has announced the launch of the BMW M Drift Academy, an exclusive performance training platform that introduces the thrill of drifting to Indian car enthusiasts in a structured and responsible manner.
Positioned as a performance-centric initiative, the BMW M Drift Academy offers a safe and controlled environment for motorsport enthusiasts to explore the excitement of drifting, away from public roads. The programme also promotes the message of responsible driving through its pledge to #DriftResponsibly.
Set over two days, the academy invites participants to begin their drifting journey with a combination of classroom learning and intensive hands-on training using high-performance BMW M2 and M4 models. Under the guidance of BMW-certified instructors, attendees will be taught a variety of techniques such as throttle control, initiating and maintaining drifts, executing full and half-circle drifts in both directions, and mastering transition drifts in a figure-eight formation.
Adding to the immersive experience, the event also includes the BMW M After Hours—a community celebration that showcases the spirit and culture of BMW M. The evening will feature drift shows, gourmet cuisine, and live performances by The Yellow Diary, Karan Kanchan, and the DJ duo Prithvi B2B SMG, offering a high-energy close to a day of performance driving.
