Bolt.Earth, EV charging network company, today launched Blaze DC universal DC fast charger designed specifically for electric two- and three-wheelers.

Entirely designed, engineered, and manufactured in India, Blaze DC is a compact, grid-friendly, and interoperable charging solution. It supports Type 6 and LECCS Type 7 connectors, making it compatible with leading EV brands such as Ather, Ola, Ultraviolette, Hero MotoCorp, Matter Motors, and Simple Energy. The company will soon begin Blaze DC deployment across key cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Kerala, and Pune.

What sets Blaze DC apart is its high-speed capability—enabling up to 120 km of range in just 15 minutes via its 12kW variant. It addresses the constraints of India’s current EV landscape, where brand-specific and slow chargers dominate limited locations. With plug-and-play functionality tailored to Indian grid conditions, Blaze DC promises wider accessibility, reliability, and speed for daily commuters and commercial EV users.

The charger also offers robust serviceability, featuring a modular design, remote diagnostics, and real-time fault detection for reduced downtime. Bolt.Earth aims to support 90% of fast-charging-enabled two- and three-wheelers within a year, significantly enhancing EV adoption in the country.

Speaking at the launch, Raghav Bharadwaj, CEO of Bolt.Earth, said, “True EV adoption in India hinges on meeting the needs of the everyday commuter—auto-rickshaw drivers, delivery agents, and small business owners. Blaze DC is a fast, inclusive solution built in India for Indian roads and realities.”

The event featured a live demonstration of the charger’s plug-and-charge functionality via the Bolt.Earth Charging App, which currently supports over 37,000 charging points across 1,700+ cities and serves more than 224,000 active users.

Dr Shiv Shankara N, Managing Director of Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), saidm “Karnataka already leads in EV infrastructure with 5,200+ chargers, but most are slow. We are keen to upgrade to fast chargers and collaborate with private players like Bolt.Earth to future-proof public EV infrastructure.”

With the electric two-wheeler market projected to reach over 5 million units in annual sales by 2027, fast and affordable public charging solutions like Blaze DC are set to become crucial. For micro-entrepreneurs, the Blaze DC launch also creates new income opportunities via Bolt.Earth’s charger hosting and CMS platform.
