BYD has announced achieving a three million production mark for new energy vehicles globally, six months after it crossed the two million production mark.

Notably, the company produced the first one million vehicles in 13 years while the next one million in a year.

A press release from BYD noted that it will continue to cooperate with partners from various sectors to achieve high-quality development in the future.

Under this collaboration, the vehicle maker will also persist in facilitating the progress of the global new energy vehicle industry and accelerating our mother planet’s transition to a greener world.

Expressing his gratitude to BYD customers, industry partners, peers, and employees, Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President, BYD, said the company will introduce another pioneering technology to improve the security system further. This is in addition to working on the existing “four-in-one” security system that guarantees the safety of the battery’s raw materials, battery cells, battery packs, and vehicles.

He continued that BYD intends to build a high-end brand targeting the luxury market, Yangwang, with disruptive technologies and products. Its upcoming model will launch in the first quarter of 2023, bringing users unprecedented high performance.

Additionally, in 2023, BYD will release a new brand grounded in highly professional and personalised identities to meet the diversified demand of consumers. The brand will harness the co-creation with users and welcome all the franchised dealerships to join in its promotion.

Going ahead, the company aims to form a brand matrix including BYD (Dynasty & Ocean), Denza, Yangwang, and another new brand specialising in professional and personalised identities, covering family cars and luxury cars. With popularised and personalised design, it intends to provide high-quality products that address customers’ ever-rising expectations.

Furthermore, BYD will adhere to its global strategy by further developing the global market and promoting the passenger vehicle industry globally.

BYD has extended its new energy vehicle footprint to over 400 cities across 70 countries and regions on six continents.
