Calcom Vision Limited, a prominent Indian Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM), has announced the formation of a wholly owned subsidiary—Calcom Astra Private Limited—as part of its strategy to boost exports and strengthen its international presence.
The new entity, Calcom Astra, will serve as the export-focused arm of Calcom Vision, spearheading the company’s growth in global markets, particularly across the United States and Europe. With an integrated approach to exports, sourcing, and vendor development, the subsidiary aims to meet rising demand from international customers and respond to shifting global trade dynamics more effectively.
Rajat Behal has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Calcom Astra. A seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the electronics and lighting sectors, Behal has previously worked with leading American, European, and Japanese multinationals. He brings with him a strong track record in scaling global operations and holds an Electronics Engineering degree from Pune University and a Master’s in Operations Management from IGNOU.
Abhishek Malik, Executive Director, Calcom Vision Limited, said, “Calcom Astra is a strategic step toward our ambition of becoming a global electronics manufacturing partner. With a specialised team and a focused international agenda, we’re expanding our footprint in the US and Europe. In the context of the ongoing tariff shifts, Calcom Astra is well-placed to tap emerging opportunities and build a robust, future-ready global supply chain.”
The move comes at a time when India’s electronics exports are gaining strong momentum. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), the country’s electronics exports are expected to cross USD 120 billion by FY26.
