CEAT has launched the SecuraDrive CIRCL as the first passenger car tyre made with up to 90 per cent sustainable materials. Both tyres will be on sale from September 2025 through CEAT’s premium retail outlets and authorised dealerships. Developed at CEAT’s global R&D centre in Halol, Gujarat, the CIRCL is aimed at young urban consumers who increasingly view sustainability as both a responsibility and a lifestyle choice. By integrating advanced materials and processes, CEAT is trying to show that eco-friendly design need not come at the expense of performance or safety. The tyre has been thoroughly tested for real-world use.

The innovation lies in CEAT’s use of three pioneering breakthroughs. A Unified Biopolymer Inner Liner simplifies material use and reduces manufacturing emissions. A Glycerol-Based Accelerator replaces petroleum-derived chemicals with a bio-based alternative, while an Anti-Static Silica Conductive Solution removes the need for traditional carbon black but retains safety-critical electrical conductivity.
