Citroen India has launched the updated version of its C5 Aircross at an introductory price of INR 36.67 lakh ex-showroom Delhi for the Shine, dual-tone trim level.

The new SUV will be retailed through the company’s La Maison phygital showroom across 19 Indian cities. Updates to the exterior include new front fascia with single-piece headlamps that diverge at the outer edges with two sets of LED Daytime Running Lamps. Besides, it also gets a redesigned bumper, new 18-inch alloy wheel designs, and updated tail lamps with rectangular lighting elements and a darkened finish.

Saurabh Vatsa, Brand Head, Citroën India, noted that the new C5 Aircross introduces a new design language at the front, with curves giving way to more structured lines. The interior gets a redesign with new dashboard looks while also featuring a free-standing 10-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with an updated interface.

However, the story remains unchanged under the hood. The updated SUV features the same old 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 177 hp and 400 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Roland Bouchara, CEO & Managing Director, Stellantis India, said, “We are excited to launch the new C5 Aircross SUV in India, our flagship SUV in the Citroën portfolio and it embodies all the elements of the Citroën Advanced Comfort programme.”
