Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has launched an uptime assurance programme called 'BharatBenz Rakshana' to help its customers enhance business profitability. The programme commits to servicing and delivering BharatBenz trucks and buses within 48 hours.

Covering scheduled services, running repairs or vehicle breakdown cases, the 'BharatBenz Rakshana' programme is a standard feature in the company's on-road haulage trucks, tippers, tractor trailers, and buses, which already come with an active powertrain warranty at the time of sale.

Interestingly, over 98% of the trucks and buses that check in to the service centres are serviced and delivered to customers within 48 hours.

However, if the delivery time exceeds 48 hours with the programme, BharatBenz will compensate the customer per the terms and conditions of the Rakshana programme. The compensation for the delay in the completion of the service will be a percentage of the cost incurred in the service.

Rajaram K, Vice President - BharatBenz Marketing, Sales and Customer Service, DICV, noted that besides introducing the new programme, the company is also enhancing the efficiency of its technicians to reskill and upskill through BharatBenz Regional Training Centres.

The aim is to increase touchpoints and service bays by 13% and 17% by December 2023 to address the growing customer base across India, he added.
