Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has delivered a stable performance, underpinned by its bus sales and aftermarket services. Despite a ten percent decline in the Indian commercial vehicle sector during 2024, DICV reported its highest-ever annual bus sales of approximately 2,200 units, recording a 10.5 percent year-on-year growth. The company also achieved a 65.9 percent increase in bus exports, highlighting growing international demand for its made-in-India offerings.

The expansion of DICV’s customer service and aftermarket business has further supported its financial performance. Aftermarket revenue grew by 18 percent, while customer service revenue reached INR 1,381 crore, up 27.8 percent from the previous year. These segments now form a sizeable portion of the company’s overall revenue mix.

Satyakam Arya, Managing Director and CEO, DICV, stated that the company had stayed focused on core fundamentals such as customer satisfaction and product quality. The introduction of the BharatBenz TorqShift tipper range, featuring advanced automatic manual transmission (AMT) technology, and the launch of new heavy-duty rigid trucks are part of DICV’s push to bring globally tested innovations into the Indian market.

In April 2024, it transitioned to 100 percent renewable energy for Scope 2 emissions. Its Oragadam facility became the first in India to meet IGBC Green Factory Building Version 2 standards. The company’s decade-old Consolidation Centre, which has exported over 10,000 containers and 300 million parts globally, reflects its integral role in Daimler Truck’s international supply chain.
