EKA Mobility flagged-off 10 electric buses in Arunachal Pradesh, under a tender facilitated by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL). The ceremony, held on World Environment Day, was officiated by the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu. Designed and manufactured in India, these 9-meter AC buses feature a 900mm floor height to ensure easy accessibility and are optimised for Arunachal Pradesh’s challenging terrain and intra-city travel needs.
Rohit Srivastava, Business Head & Chief Growth Officer, EKA Mobility, said, “We are honoured to support Arunachal Pradesh’s green vision. These buses reflect our commitment to indigenous, sustainable innovation tailored to India’s diverse geographies.” With this rollout, Arunachal Pradesh joins a growing list of Indian States adopting electric mobility solutions to reduce emissions and promote inclusive, sustainable public transport. The timing of the flag-off—on World Environment Day—highlights the critical role of innovation and collaboration in driving environmental stewardship.

Deploys Electric Garbage Tippers In Goa
In a move to bolster sustainable urban infrastructure, EKA Mobility handed over 10 advanced electric garbage tippers to the Sankhali Municipal Council (SMC) in Goa. The deployment, inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on June 5, marks a significant step in Goa’s clean mobility journey.
Equipped with a 32 kWh LFP battery, a range of up to 180 km, and a 1,000 kg payload capacity, the tippers are designed for efficient daily waste collection. With zero tailpipe emissions and reduced noise levels, the vehicles offer a cleaner, quieter alternative for municipal operations. EKA Mobility and SMC hailed the initiative as a model for green governance and environmentally responsible urban services.
