Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched the OBD-2B compliant 2025 version of its GSX-8R sport motorcycle. Powered by a 776cc parallel twin DOHC engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, the GSX-8R continues to offer a torquey engine character, complete with Suzuki’s patented Cross Balancer for reduced vibration and smooth operation. The update focuses on enhancing its environmental compatibility without altering the engine’s dynamic behaviour. The OBD-2B system enables real-time emission diagnostics, thereby ensuring cleaner combustion and regulatory compliance while preserving its core performance traits.
The motorcycle is available in three colours, Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Matte Black No 2. It is priced at INR 9,25,000 ex-showroom (Delhi), and will be retailed through Suzuki’s premium big bike network.
Its electronic suite includes the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) with ride-by-wire throttle, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, traction control, bi-directional quick shifter, and low RPM assist. These systems make it accessible for everyday use while offering enough adjustability for spirited rides.
The motorcycle features Showa SFF-BP inverted front forks and a link-type mono-shock rear suspension with preload adjuster, offering a balanced ride across varied surfaces. The braking setup consists of dual four-piston radial-mount callipers and 310 mm discs up front, matched with lightweight cast aluminium wheels wrapped in Dunlop RoadSport 2 radial tyres.
