Evera Cabs has begun an aggressive acquisition drive to absorb vehicles from the now-suspended BluSmart fleet. With 220 electric cabs already repossessed and the remainder of a 500-vehicle commitment in progress, Evera is rapidly scaling its footprint across Delhi NCR targeting the airport mobility segment. The company has confirmed that the acquisition funnel includes up to 1,000 former BluSmart vehicles, reflecting an expansion strategy at a time of structural shifts in the urban EV cab sector.

BluSmart’s exit from major metros such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi has created a void in the electric cab market, particularly in areas that require predictable, clean transport such as airport corridors. Evera’s response has been swift and calculated, aiming not only to secure fleet assets but also to integrate experienced drivers—many of whom are choosing to move over to Evera, including a notable share of women drivers. Around 150 drivers have already resumed operations under Evera, as the company focuses on operational continuity with minimal disruption.

The repossession process, enabled through BluSmart’s financiers, is part of a wider strategic realignment by Evera to reinforce its role as a dependable electric cab service provider. Having operated in the B2B space for over five years and offered airport-specific services since 2022, Evera is now deepening its presence with targeted redeployments of vehicles to high-demand locations, starting with full coverage of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Previously limited to Terminal 3, Evera will now operate across all terminals, improving availability and reducing wait times.
