Ferrari has revealed the new 2+ grand tourer Amalfi that replaces the Roma in the brand’s line-up, offering a more sculpted design, enhanced practicality, and a significantly evolved powertrain. Powered by a twin-turbo 3855cc V8 engine placed in a front-mid configuration, the Amalfi reflects Ferrari’s intent to retain performance benchmarks while increasing versatility for daily use. With 624 bhp and 760 Nm of torque available from 3,000 to 5,750 rpm, it combines track-inspired response with long-distance comfort.

Built around the F154 engine family, the V8 has been refined with lighter camshafts, new turbo calibration, and a revised control unit shared with the 296 GTB and Purosangue. This allows the powertrain to rev up to 7600 rpm, while a flat-plane crankshaft, twin-scroll turbocharging and optimised combustion management enhance response across the rev range. Acceleration is brisk, with a 0–100 kmph time of 3.3 seconds and 0–200 kmph in 9.0 seconds. Top speed is claimed at 320 kmph. These numbers are managed by an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission borrowed from the SF90, now paired with improved clutch control and reduced mechanical resistance for urban smoothness.

The Amalfi’s platform distributes weight evenly at 50:50 across both axles, with a dry weight of 1,470 kg. Extensive use of carbon fibre and precision machining of the engine block contributed to mass reduction. Brake-by-wire technology and ABS Evo provide precise deceleration, with stopping distances of 30.8 metres from 100 kmph and 119.5 metres from 200 kmph. The system is governed by SSC 6.1, which links slip control, torque vectoring, and steering response into a single logic layer. Front and rear tracks measure 1652 mm and 1679 mm respectively, seated under 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/35 (front) and 285/35 (rear) tyres.

The car integrates multiple innovations for aerodynamic efficiency including vortex generators, an active rear spoiler with three deployment stages, and diffuser design optimised for drag reduction and high-speed stability. The spoiler adds up to 110 kg of downforce at 250 kmph when in high mode. A new front duct design channels air to reduce pressure build-up and improve thermal efficiency for intercoolers and radiators. Even the underbody contributes to drag management, with aero fairings placed before all four wheels.

The cabin adopts a dual-cockpit layout with enhanced visual continuity between driver and passenger. The dashboard is now a monolithic panel integrating vents and screens into a single element. A 15.6-inch digital cluster is flanked by a 10.25-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch passenger-side display, supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and over-the-air updates. The car includes a reintroduced physical start button and rotary volume controls on the steering wheel, which also houses all key drive and assistance functions. Interior surfaces are finished in carbon fibre, anodised aluminium and perforated metal, with optional comfort seats featuring massage and ventilation.

Safety and ADAS functions are extensive, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a 360-degree Surround View system. A front lift system is optionally available, raising the car by 40 mm up to 35 kmph to clear steep ramps and speed bumps.

Visually, the Amalfi evolves the aesthetic language of the Roma, replacing the traditional front grille with a floating nose section and simplified surfaces. The tail features hidden lighting elements and a full-width character line, while the diffuser and integrated spoiler reinforce the car’s sporting identity. The launch shade, Verde Costiera, is inspired by the hues of the Amalfi coast and aims to highlight the car’s surfacing detail.

Boot space measures 273 litres, enhanced by the 2+ layout which offers additional room for occasional rear passengers or luggage. The standard fitment includes either Bridgestone Potenza Sport or Pirelli P Zero tyres, tuned for ride comfort without compromising response. Buyers also benefit from Ferrari’s seven-year Genuine Maintenance Programme, which covers all scheduled servicing worldwide.
