As part of its strategy to play in the e-mobility space, Gulf Oil India has announced its strategic partnership with ElectreeFi, a part of Techperspect Software.
This strategic investment and partnership is the second move by Gulf Oil in the e-mobility value chain after the company invested in the UK based Indra Renewables in 2021, which manufactures smart chargers for the car segment, a release from the lubricant provider stated.
Under this partnership, both the companies work together to develop solutions leveraging their strengths and play a future role in the fast-changing e-mobility space for two and three-wheelers and cars to start with, the release added.
Through this partnership, ElectreeFi will provide SaaS CMS for Gulf Indra Chargers in India. Gulf Oil has already initiated a trial run for its smart sockets along with ElectreeFi app with its touchpoints for branded charging networks, the release said.
The lubricant manufacturer has also initiated a trial run for its smart sockets along with ElectreeFi app with its touchpoints for branded charging network, it claimed.
Additionally, it will provide infrastructural support to ElectreeFi and back the startup to connect with the industry and its vast distribution network.
ElectreeFi has been working with various OEMs, CPOs and utilities, EV fleet operators and charging OEMs to provide next-generation IoT Solutions. At present, 40% of electric car users in India use its CMS, the company claimed.
