Hero MotoCorp is set to launch the Vida VX2 electric scooter on 1 July. Positioned below the Vida V2, the VX2 targets cost-conscious urban commuters, with prices expected to start around INR 65,000–70,000 (ex-showroom) thanks to a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option.
Built on the same platform as the V2, the VX2 is expected to offer 2.2kWh and 3.4kWh removable battery options with a range of over 100km. The scooter follows a simple design inspired by the VIDA Z concept, and prioritizes practicality with drum brakes (front disc on top-spec trim), a smaller digital display with physical buttons, and conventional key ignition.
Hero’s wide network and the flexible BaaS model make the VX2 a compelling alternative to rivals like the TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air, and Bajaj Chetak.
