Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) marked Environment Week 2025 with a range of eco-conscious initiatives across its nationwide network, beginning June 5, World Environment Day. With this year’s theme, ‘Beat Plastic Pollution,’ the company engaged customers, employees, and local communities to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Over the course of the week, HMSI dealerships and service outlets carried out activities such as sapling distribution, plastic pollution awareness campaigns, and tree plantation drives—planting 1.25 lakh saplings across India. Free Pollution Under Control (PUC) check-up camps were also organized to encourage cleaner vehicle practices. The celebrations concluded with a community event at Hindon Honda, Ghaziabad, attended by senior company officials.

The initiative is aligned with HMSI’s broader sustainability efforts, including its Triple Action to ZERO strategy focused on carbon neutrality, clean energy, and resource circulation. Notably, HMSI’s Narsapura factory in Karnataka now sources 98 per cent of its energy from renewables, and all its manufacturing plants operate as Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) units. As the company celebrates 7 crore units of cumulative production in India, its commitment to environmental stewardship remains a key focus.
