Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the 2025 CB650R and CBR650R, introducing E-Clutch technology to the Indian two-wheeler market. The CB650R is priced at INR 9.60 lakh and the sportier CBR650R at INR 10.40 lakh, both ex-showroom Delhi.

The E-Clutch system, developed by Honda in 2023, allows gear shifts without the rider manually engaging the clutch lever. By controlling the clutch electronically, the system aims to reduce rider fatigue during urban commutes while preserving the engagement expected from manual gearboxes. This setup is particularly suited for riders who are looking for a balance between ease of use and sporty performance, without switching fully to an automatic transmission.

Both bikes are powered by the same 649cc inline four-cylinder engine producing 94 bhp and 63 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed transmission. The CB650R retains its Neo Sports Café design, featuring a minimalist aesthetic with streetfighter styling, while the CBR650R adopts a racier stance with aerodynamic fairing and sharper lines. Despite the differing appearances, the mechanical and electronic specifications are nearly identical, with both bikes featuring Showa’s Separate Function Fork Big Piston front suspension and dual-channel ABS. Includes a new 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app.

With bookings now open across Honda’s BigWing dealerships and online, deliveries are scheduled to begin in the last week of May 2025.
