Honda Cars India has slashed the ex-showroom price of the City e:HEV by INR 95,000, bringing the cost of the sole ZX variant down to INR 19.90 lakh. This price revision makes the full-hybrid sedan more competitive in the midsize segment, where it rivals petrol-only and mild-hybrid offerings like the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.
The City e:HEV pairs a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with two electric motors and an e-CVT gearbox, delivering a combined output of over 120bhp and 253Nm. It also boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.26kmpl. Notable features include LED headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch dual-tone alloys, an eight-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, eight-speaker audio, wireless charging, a semi-digital cluster, and an electric sunroof.
