Honda is expected to expand its E-Clutch technology to more models in its lineup, with the Rebel 250 cruiser and the CL250 scrambler likely next in line. The E-Clutch system, already available on the CBR650R and CB650R, enables gear changes, stopping, and starting without the use of the clutch lever—making for a smoother, more accessible ride, especially for newer riders.

Unlike fully automatic systems such as Honda’s own DCT or Yamaha’s Y-AMT, the E-Clutch is a semi-automatic setup. While the core specifications of the Rebel 250 and CL250 will remain unchanged, the addition of the system will increase kerb weight by 2kg.
