Maruti Suzuki India Limited has recorded a milestone with the Grand Vitara clocking 3 lakh unit sales in 32 months, establishing itself as the fastest-selling SUV in its segment. The company attributes this sales momentum to its strategic product mix, which includes the Strong Hybrid powertrain and the ALLGRIP SELECT 4x4 drivetrain with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Grand Vitara’s growth has been led by its hybrid variants, which recorded a 43 percent year-on-year rise in sales during the financial year 2024-25. This aligns with the broader industry shift toward cleaner mobility solutions and underlines Maruti Suzuki’s intent to compete strongly in the mid-size SUV category.
Beyond sales figures, the Grand Vitara’s success reflects its appeal to urban and aspirational buyers. The SUV offers features such as panoramic sunroof options on select trims (Zeta (O), Alpha (O), Zeta+ (O), Alpha+ (O)), ventilated seats, powered driver seat, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, head-up display, and a 9-inch infotainment system with premium audio.
