Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has expanded its popular Aura sedan lineup with the introduction of a new S AMT variant, priced at INR 8,07,700 (ex-showroom). With this launch, the company aims to bring its advanced Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) technology to a broader audience by offering a compelling combination of convenience, safety, and style at an accessible price point.
The Aura S AMT is powered by Hyundai’s proven 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and is designed to cater to the evolving needs of young, urban Indian buyers. The new variant offers an array of segment-leading features including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), 6 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (highline), and electric-folding Outside Rear View Mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer at HMIL, stated, “With the introduction of the Aura S AMT, we aim to redefine the value proposition in the entry segment by offering superior comfort, safety, performance, and convenience at an affordable price.”
This addition further strengthens the Hyundai Aura’s appeal in India’s entry sedan segment, offering premium technology and safety features that are often found in higher segments.
