Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has roped in Unipart Logistics to provide aftermarket parts logistics for both the Jaguar and Land Rover luxury automotive brands. 

Unipart's strength and expertise in supply chain transformation, excellence in customer service, and commitment to digital innovation and sustainability made JLR zero in for this assignment. 

Moreover, Unipart has a strong track record with JLR and currently operates the Jaguar UK Aftermarket logistics and packer operation, JLR branded goods and in-production logistics at the new the OEM's Battery Assembly Centre.

Based on the five-year contract from JLR, Unipart will run the custom-built JLR Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at the vehicle maker's new 2.94m square-foot campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. The facility will be operational in 2022. 

According to Unipart, the company will operate the UK and global aftermarket Distribution Centre, Parts Packing and Branded Goods operations, and a Customer Support function, backing JLR's continued growth ambitions. 

John Neill, Chairman & CEO, Unipart Group, said that with this new contract, the company will support the evolution of JLR aftermarket logistics through digital innovation, environmental sustainability and customer service.
