Kia India has opened bookings for the all-electric Carens Clavis EV, with prices starting at INR 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can reserve the EV through Kia’s authorised dealerships or the official website by paying a booking amount of INR 25,000.
The Carens Clavis EV is available in four variants — HTK+, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX+ ER, with the ‘ER’ suffix denoting Extended Range versions. The SUV can be had in six exterior shades: Ivory Silver Matte, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, and Imperial Blue.
Powering the EV are two battery pack options: a 42kWh unit with an ARAI-certified range of 404km, and a 51.4kWh unit offering a longer range of 490km on a single charge. Both variants are front-wheel-drive, producing 133bhp and 169bhp respectively, while torque remains identical at 255Nm.
Feature highlights include all-LED lighting, LED light bars at both ends, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with aero inserts, charging port integrated into the front fascia, and a panoramic sunroof. Inside, it comes equipped with dual 12.25-inch screens, ventilated front seats, active air flaps, UV-cut glass, and i-Pedal regenerative braking.
In terms of tech, the Carens Clavis EV also offers V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability and a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite, enhancing both convenience and safety.
With the Clavis EV, Kia expands its electric portfolio in India, offering a feature-rich, family-oriented EV with practical range options for urban and intercity use.
