Kia India has officially launched the new Carens Clavis as a multi-utility vehicle that blends MPV practicality with SUV-inspired styling. The introductory price starts at INR 11.49 lakh for the base HTE variant with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and stretches up to INR 21.49 lakh for the top-spec HTX+ variant with a 7-speed DCT gearbox (all mentioned prices in ex-showroom). Available in 6- and 7-seater configurations, the Carens Clavis arrives with a wide range of powertrains and features aimed at addressing the needs of large families. While the base models keep pricing competitive, the fully loaded variants enter the segment's upper price band, inviting comparisons with larger vehicles and crossovers.

The Carens Clavis is available in 6- and 7-seater layouts, spread across seven trims, HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+ (O), HTX, HTX+, and offered with petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel engine options. The petrol variants start at INR 11.49 lakh and go up to INR 19.69 lakh, while the turbo-petrol models range between INR 13.39 lakh and INR 21.49 lakh depending on the transmission and variant chosen. Diesel-powered models are priced between INR 13.49 lakh and INR 19.49 lakh for manual options and INR 17.99 lakh for the 6-speed automatic.

Kia has positioned the Carens Clavis as a vehicle that blends space, comfort, and design-led appeal. Features like dual panoramic displays, Level 2 ADAS with 20 safety technologies, electric tumble seats, and ventilated front seating add premium value. A walk-in lever and multiple storage enhancements aim to make it practical for daily use and long-distance family travel.

While the base models are well-aligned for buyers seeking family transport with useful features, the fully loaded variants priced over INR 21 lakh begin to overlap with mid-size SUVs and crossovers offering stronger engines and more dynamic design. This could make value perception a key consideration among buyers evaluating top-end variants.
