Kia India has launched a nationwide electric mobility ecosystem branded K-Charge, ahead of the debut of its first made-in-India EV — the Carens Clavis EV. Integrated into the MyKia app, the platform connects users to over 11,000 charging points across India and is backed by 18 Charge Point Operators (CPOs). The EV will be officially launched via webcast at 12:00 PM on 15 July 2025.
Designed to eliminate common EV ownership challenges, K-Charge offers real-time charger availability, route planning via the EV Route Planner, and unified payment functionality — eliminating the need for multiple third-party apps. This platform spans both city and intercity routes, making it easier for users to plan daily commutes and long-distance travel.
Further reinforcing its EV push, Kia has established over 250 EV-ready workshops nationwide, staffed with trained technicians and equipped with specialised EV tools. In addition, 100+ Kia dealerships are now equipped with DC fast chargers ranging from 60kW to 240kW, allowing customers to access rapid charging during service visits.
For home users, Kia offers AC charging solutions with 7.4kW and 11kW chargers, making overnight and home-based charging more convenient — a significant upgrade compared to most mass-market rivals.
Speaking about the new ecosystem, Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, said, “With our comprehensive EV ecosystem now in place, we are empowering customers to experience electric mobility with ease and confidence.” The company aims to expand its public charging access to 20,000+ points by mid-2026, building a future-ready infrastructure for mainstream EV adoption.
This ecosystem push sets the stage for the Carens Clavis EV, which will join Kia’s growing global EV portfolio that includes the award-winning EV6, EV9, and EV3. With a clear focus on digital convenience, service accessibility, and infrastructure readiness, Kia is positioning itself as a key enabler in India’s EV transition.
