Kinetic Green has announced a bold expansion plan for its electric two-wheeler business to deepen its presence in the growing Indian EV segment. Building on the E-Luna platform, the company will introduce three new Born Electric scooters over the next 18 months, starting with a family-oriented model due before the 2025 festive season.
The first new model, described as a stylish and feature-rich scooter for family use, will come equipped with connected features such as a TFT display, IoT-based platform, and multiple battery configurations. The digital platform has been co-developed with Jio Things, reflecting Kinetic Green’s broader attempt to embed software-led features into its growing portfolio. The product is expected to target a wide price band and address everyday commuting needs while offering a modern ownership experience.
Kinetic Green has partnered with Italian Torino Design to develop future scooter models. The partnership reflects a conscious push to introduce international styling cues while keeping the core vehicle tailored to Indian conditions. Kinetic has coined the term “Thoughtful Engineering” to describe its approach, blending design with durability, IoT capability and ease of use.
Dr Sulajja Firodia Motwani, CEO, Kinetic Green, mentioned that with over 80,000 units sold in the initial phase and a dealership network of 400 outlets, the company is well-positioned to execute this expansion. Kinetic Green has also built R&D capabilities in fast-charging, battery-swapping, and platform software, which will be used to support the new scooter range.
