With the formation of a new electric vehicle brand, eRise, KL Group has forayed into the electric vehicle market in India. The new company aims to immediately launch three low-speed electric scooters and two high-speed vehicles in the coming three months.

The company manufactures electric scooters at a 95,000-square feet manufacturing facility in Rohtak, Haryana. Puneet Goel – CEO & Co-Founder, eRise – Drive Electric, noted that this facility can make up to 30,000 vehicles/year.

Goel said, 'Our products have been particularly designed to endure Indian weather conditions while also meeting the technical and design standards of the Indian market.'

During the first phase, eRise intends to expand its footprint to 200 plus dealerships across the country at 175 locations. Established in 1971, the KL Group has five-decade experience building numerous businesses in India's auto, construction, and petrochemical industries.
