Komaki Electric has introduced a new electric utility scooter named CAT 2.0 Eco, priced at ex-showroom INR 69,999, aimed at addressing the specific needs of gig workers, delivery services and small businesses across India. The model has been developed as a practical transport solution, suited for both urban and rural commuting as well as cargo movement, reflecting a clear intention to cater to utility over recreational use.
The model is designed to handle cargo loads with a reinforced frame and a spacious rear rack, features that make it suitable for e-commerce deliveries, food logistics and small-scale transport businesses. Its ergonomic design and digital console, which displays trip and battery information, add a layer of usability to an otherwise simple and purpose-driven scooter.
One of the practical features includes an economy mode that allows riders to optimise power consumption, especially during longer delivery routes. This supports cost efficiency, which remains a key consideration for its target users. Komaki has also stressed the vehicle’s low maintenance requirements and its contribution to zero-emission transport, in line with national sustainability goals.
Gunjan Malhotra, Co-founder, Komaki Electric Vehicles, described it as a tool of empowerment for India’s working-class riders and fleet operators. Malhotra underlined the company’s goal of making electric mobility more accessible while strengthening the larger EV ecosystem in the country.
