KTM AG has resumed full-scale production at its Mattighofen, Austria plant marking a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to stabilise operations. The restart follows a period of uncertainty and restructuring, which the company described earlier this year as one of the most critical phases in its history.
The company confirmed that the plant will now operate on a full-time schedule over five working days. Production has restarted with models from KTM’s Offroad range, alongside the KTM 690 ENDURO R and 690 SMC R. The move is seen as essential for restoring momentum in the company’s supply chain and ensuring timely deliveries to dealers and customers globally.
Gottfried Neumeister, CEO of KTM AG, expressed appreciation to employees for their resilience during recent months. He said their dedication and flexibility had been fundamental to enabling the restart and would continue to be central to the company’s future development. Neumeister also emphasised that the resumption of operations provides the stability needed to focus on product quality, customer satisfaction, and the advancement of new model programmes.
The restart is likely to reassure KTM’s dealer network, which has been awaiting clarity on production timelines. Neumeister acknowledged their patience and loyalty during the shutdown, underlining the importance of these partnerships as the company works to regain its footing.
