Mahindra is expanding its upcoming BE 6 electric SUV portfolio by homologating two new high-spec variants – Pack Three B59 and Pack Three Select 79. These additions are part of Mahindra’s strategy to offer a broader mix of range and performance options under the same trim level.
The new naming convention corresponds to battery size – B59 indicating a 59kWh battery and Select 79 a larger 79kWh unit. These variants will be placed at the top end of the lineup and follow the recent introduction of Pack Two trims with 79kWh batteries, which offered a higher range without stepping up to the most premium configuration.
The 59kWh Pack Three B59 variant is expected to target customers prioritising features over outright range, while the Pack Three Select 79 will appeal to buyers looking for the longest range and highest performance, coupled with flagship features.
In terms of performance, the 59kWh variant uses a 228bhp electric motor producing 380Nm of torque, with a MIDC-certified range of 557km. The 79kWh version upgrades the powertrain to 282bhp while offering an extended range of 683km (MIDC).
Mahindra recently began deliveries of the Pack Two trims and the addition of these new Pack Three options signals a push toward a more customisable EV lineup to cater to a wider set of consumers.
