Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that its FRONX compact SUV has achieved a cumulative production milestone of 5 lakh units within 28 months of launch. This rapid growth reflects not only strong domestic demand but also the vehicle’s increasing acceptance in international markets.

The FRONX was unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo, and quickly became the fastest model in its segment to clock 1 lakh sales within ten months and has consistently remained among the top-selling SUVs in India. It was the most exported passenger vehicle in FY 2024-25, with one in every five units manufactured shipped abroad.

The FRONX became the first “Made in India” SUV from Maruti Suzuki to be exported to Japan. Beyond Japan, the FRONX is also performing strongly in regions such as Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki, emphasised that the company will continue to bring value-driven products with advanced technology to meet evolving customer expectations.
