Mercedes-Benz India has announced a two-stage ex-showroom price increase for its model line-up in response to steep foreign exchange fluctuations. The first revision will take effect from 1 June 2025, while a second increase of up to 1.5% will follow from 1 September 2025. The company said this staggered approach is intended to help customers plan their purchases with minimal financial disruption.
The company cited a nearly 10% depreciation in the Euro to INR exchange rate over the last four months as the reason behind the decision. This has raised import costs substantially, especially for Completely Built Units (CBUs) and key components. Mercedes-Benz India stated that while it has absorbed most of these cost pressures so far through localisation efforts, it is now compelled to pass on a portion to customers to maintain operational sustainability.
From 1 June 2025, the ex-showroom prices for several models will increase as follows:
C 200: from INR 59.4 lakh to INR 60.3 lakh (up by INR 90,000)
GLC 300 4MATIC: from INR 76.8 lakh to INR 78.3 lakh (up by INR 1.5 lakh)
E 200: from INR 79.5 lakh to INR 81.5 lakh (up by INR 2 lakh)
GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line: from INR 99 lakh to INR 101.5 lakh (up by INR 2.5 lakh)
EQS SUV 450 4MATIC: from INR 1.28 crore to INR 1.31 crore (up by INR 3 lakh)
GLS 450 4MATIC: from INR 1.339 crore to INR 1.37 crore (up by INR 3.1 lakh)
Mercedes-Maybach S 680: from INR 3.478 crore to INR 3.60 crore (up by INR 12.2 lakh)
From 1 September 2025, an additional price increase of up to 1.5% will apply across the range.
Mercedes-Benz India has assured customers that their Equated Monthly Instalments (EMIs) will see only marginal changes due to support from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS). The company says schemes such as Star Agility and reduced EMI options will help offset the increased prices, with the difference for models like the GLA and GLC being under INR 2,000 in monthly instalments.
