Mercedes-Benz is redefining mobile productivity by integrating Microsoft’s suite of business tools into its next-generation vehicles, starting with the all-new CLA.
The latest version of the Meetings for Teams app will allow drivers to use the vehicle’s built-in camera to participate in video calls, even while driving. Prioritising safety, the app disables incoming video and shared screens during motion, ensuring drivers remain focused. New features such as a smart dashboard with upcoming meetings, frequent contacts, expanded chat, and voice-enabled text input enhance the experience, turning the car into a fully functional meeting hub.
Mercedes-Benz also becomes the first carmaker to natively integrate Microsoft Intune, enabling enterprise-grade security and device management directly within the vehicle. Users can log in using business credentials, separate personal and professional data, and access apps like Notes and Calendar with seamless control – all while IT administrators retain the ability to enforce company-wide policies remotely. The rollout will begin in Europe and the US this summer.
Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz is working closely with Microsoft to bring Microsoft 365 Copilot into its vehicles. The AI-powered assistant will enable drivers to prepare for meetings, summarise emails, and manage schedules through natural voice commands. This collaboration aims to transform the car into a third workspace, complementing the office and home.
“This is about more than convenience,” said Ola Källenius, Chairman of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. “By integrating Microsoft’s productivity tools directly into MB.OS, we’re enabling our customers to work smarter and safer on the go.”
