MG Motor India has increased the prices of its Hyundai Creta rival, the Astor, by up to INR 19,000 depending on the variant. This comes shortly after similar revisions were announced for the Comet EV and Windsor EV earlier this month.
The entry-level Sprint 1.5 MT and Select 1.5 MT variants are now dearer by INR 18,000 each, while the Shine 1.5 MT and Sharp Pro 1.5 MT see a hike of INR 19,000 and INR 13,000, respectively. A uniform increase of INR 15,000 applies to the Select 1.5 CVT, Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT, and Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT dual-tone variants. Meanwhile, all other trims get a hike of INR 17,000. The only variant that remains unaffected is the top-end Savvy Pro 1.3 Turbo AT.
Following the revision, the MG Astor is now priced between INR 11.48 lakh and INR 18.55 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the price hike, the SUV continues to offer a compelling package in the competitive midsize SUV segment.
