MG Motor India has teased the upcoming launch of the Windsor PRO, an updated version of its best-selling electric vehicle, with the introduction of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The company confirmed that the new variant will feature Level 2 ADAS, a suite of safety and convenience features aimed at reducing driver workload and improving road safety. The announcement comes through a recently released teaser video and hints at MG's continued effort to broaden its appeal among EV buyers looking for modern safety technology.
The Level 2 ADAS package in the Windsor PRO will offer 12 core features and deliver feedback through audio, visual, and haptic alerts. Notable systems include Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Warning, which are typically found in higher-end segments. This move signals MG’s intent to make such features more accessible in the mass EV market, placing added emphasis on proactive safety rather than reactive intervention.
Beyond safety, the Windsor PRO will also introduce utility-oriented technologies such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging. These systems allow the EV to supply power to external devices or even other electric vehicles, pushing its use beyond daily commuting into more flexible real-world applications.
