Our sources suggest that Nissan is restructuring leadership in India, with Saurabh Vatsa expanding his role and Frank Torres stepping down. The move signals a sharpened focus on India operations.

Effective August 1, 2025, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director – Nissan Motor India, will take on added responsibility for commercial operations in the country. He will now report to Leon Dorssers, Senior Vice President & Chief of Commercial Operations, AMIEO region.

Meanwhile, Frank Torres, President – Nissan Motor India and Regional Divisional Vice President – AMIEO Business Transformation, will step down from his position on August 31, 2025, due to personal reasons. He is expected to assist with the leadership transition over the coming weeks.
