Nissan Motor India has announced the availability of a government-approved CNG retrofitment kit for its popular compact SUV, the New Nissan Magnite.
Priced at an additional INR 74,999, the offering enhances Magnite’s fuel efficiency and affordability while supporting the brand’s customer-centric and eco-conscious mobility goals.
The CNG kit is compatible with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine variant equipped with a manual gearbox. Motozen, the third-party partner, will offer warranty coverage for all kit components, ensuring peace of mind for customers. This initiative reflects Nissan’s strategic move to offer alternate fuel solutions without compromising on performance, safety, or quality.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said, “The New Nissan Magnite has been central to our growth story in India. With the introduction of a certified CNG retrofit option, we aim to further enhance its value proposition and appeal to cost-conscious and environmentally aware consumers.”
The CNG rollout will begin in a phased manner. In the initial phase, authorised Nissan dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, and Karnataka will offer the installation service, with further expansion planned in Phase 2.
The Magnite continues to stand out in the compact SUV space with over 20 segment-first features, 55+ safety enhancements, and a bold design. Already present in over 65 countries, it now strengthens its positioning with a sustainable and practical fuel alternative for Indian customers.
