Oben Electric has launched an initiative to boost consumer trust and product reliability in India’s EV market. Beginning May 1, the company is offering a comprehensive 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty—dubbed ‘Protect 8/80’— for INR 9,999.
Designed to deliver consistent top speed and acceleration throughout its coverage, the plan directly addresses one of the most pressing concerns among EV owners—long-term performance. Fully transferable, the warranty also adds resale value to the Rorr EZ, reinforcing its appeal as a reliable and future-ready commuter motorcycle.
At the heart of this assurance is Oben’s in-house developed Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. Unlike conventional Li-NMC cells, the LFP chemistry enables up to 50% better thermal resistance, ensuring performance stability even in high-temperature Indian conditions. This technological foundation allows Oben to confidently offer one of the longest battery warranties in the commuter EV space.

The warranty covers both 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh battery variants of the Rorr EZ, which delivers an IDC range of 175 km, a 0-40 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds, and a top speed of 95 km/h.
